As a business developer at Utrecht Holdings Mirko supports researchers in the collaboration and commercialisation of ICT enabled innovations, in particular in crossover areas such as e-health, e-learning and serious games. In addition, Mirko is program manager of the Utrecht Valorisation program in which UU, UMCU and HU collaborate. He has a background in market research, ICT and media and holds a Master in Communication Science. Before, Mirko held senior marketing positions in software companies, led media research and development at public service broadcaster Teleac and has been a European market analyst with global market research firm IDC. Understanding both the academic and business worlds, Mirko helps top researchers in Utrecht to cross the bridge between research and the market with intellectual property rights, commercial licenses, valorisation grants and startups across all faculties.
