AMT Medical and UMCU receive Eurostars grant from EU

Utrecht, June 21st 2018 – A consortium led by AMT Medical, one of Utrecht Holdings’ portfolio companies, has been awarded a Eurostars grant from the EU. The consortium includes AMT Medical, UMCU, Lazic GmBh (Germany) and Deutsches Herzzentrum Berlin (Germany), and further supports the development and testing of a groundbreaking new minimally invasive cardiac bypass procedure.

The ELANA heart (TECAB) project is ranked number 5 out of hundreds of European Grant applications (1 is the highest). Innovative companies from all markets and from over 35 countries could apply and were judged by an independent European expert committee who considered this project to be a “paradigm shifting innovation”.
