Julius Research Toolbox

Technology

Background

The Julius Research Toolbox is a research software infrastructure for use in human subject studies (like medical) that require self-reporting of health or behaviour. It enables 1) comprehensive research data collection by means of a customized, user-friendly study app available to participants 2) Interactive App content allowing additional “Tasks” to be initiated in response to the entered data 3) Personal access to the  App-collected data with attractive visualisation  in a participant web-portal, 4) Real-time monitoring of all and individual study-participants by researchers through a researcher portal, 5) secure research data storage and easy data extraction for analysis.

Our discovery/invention/solution

A software platform that offers a scientifically validated and integrated solution for setting up longitudinal medical studies with the use of interactive app technology.

 Applications

The JR Toolkit: 1) keeps participants engaged in self-reporting, 2) allows researchers to monitor participants real-time in an efficient and low cost way and 3) provides efficient methods of research data collection, structuring and storage 4) is already in use at UMC Utrecht, Wilhemlina Kinderziekenhuis and RIVM

Intellectual Property

The tool and software are protected by copyright.

Party
