2020 was a year like no other, with an evident focus on fundamental and translational science. Fast development of that science into societal benefit is more necessary than ever before.
Whilst our colleagues at the University Medical Center Utrecht (UMCU) are stretched to care for COVID-19 patients, our scientists at the UMCU and University of Utrecht (UU) have been working relentlessly to find solutions to the most pressing issues that our societies face globally, including COVID-19.
Despite current challenges, we look forward to 2021 with optimism and a positive drive to turn knowledge into meaningful business.
