In november 2025 the Make It Matter Voucher Event was held. Eight teams presented their invention to colleagues and received a €25.000 voucher to take their invention to the next step.

About the Make It Matter Voucher Program

The Make It Matter Voucher Program is designed to help bridge the gap between academic research and real-world impact by funding 12-month proof-of-concept projects that explore commercial and practical applications of new technology or knowledge.

The program awards €25,000 vouchers that can be used for activities like feasibility studies, experimental validation, data collection, and commercialization preparation. Eligible applicants must be employees of Utrecht University (UU) or UMC Utrecht working on novel intellectual property with commercial promise.
